It appears to be more prevalent in Haiti because Haiti is a poor country. Haiti's landscape makes it so that every move is scrutinized and may be seen as corruption while in other countries such as the US, corruption is more concealed. It gives you a semblance that things are done equitably but as you remove the layers you find many crooked paths taken to that level of achievement.

I do not believe that things are done in neither an equal nor a fair manner in the US of A, but as least sometimes they will value your education to give you a promotion. In haiti, it doesn't matter how bright you were in school, and what school you went too, at the end of the day it's all about (your last name, you city of birth, your parents, how much money you have, your skin color) they are so bias over there it is sickening. On ti peyi pov konsa, ou ta di yo yo ta bay tout moun ou chans, ni sak pati ni sak kapab pou peyi an avanse.
