Failure in the end
by on 08-31-10 at 11:57 PMThe final reading is 196.4 lbs - Alas, I failed to meet my goal. I will continue to use this blog to track of my weight loss effort until I reach a comfortable weight. I am not setting any hard number for now, but I will strive to lose about 10 lbs each month.

The worst offenders
by on 08-30-10 at 11:12 AMIt looks grim... One day and 2 lbs to go; I don't think I am going to make it especially after having two slices of pizza for lunch on Friday. It had been awhile since I had good pizza; so when I came across one that actually tasted OK I put my goal aside, and chowed down. This is the biggest problem when it comes to losing weight; most of us, me included, lack the self-discipline to resist certain food. I gave into Griot and pizza knowing full well they would hurt my goal, I guess the temptations ...

Out of this rut!
by on 08-25-10 at 05:26 AMWoke up at 4:15 this morning; then it hit me 'the sunflower seeds must be causing these stomachaches' I wake up with stomachache every time I have them. Things are not looking good; I am very far from my goal 6 days to drop 4 lbs. I followed the same diet everyday my body must have adjusted to my eating habit, and my weight loss plateaued after losing a measly 6 lbs.
I have even considered drastic measures like liquid diet to jump start my diet again, but this would constitute a failure ... -
Achilles' Heel
by on 08-17-10 at 11:17 PMMissing a few days caused me to fall back on my diet; I eased back into my comfort eating habit. Btw: No more hot cup of water in the morning; it adds ten minutes to my prep time. I rushed out the door last Thursday morning leaving behind my complex diet system. I went to the cafeteria for a muffin, and a cup of coffee. Since I didn't have my slices of bread I had some rice from the cafeteria for lunch. I went home to the sweet smell of Griot that evening. I gained 10 lbs
by on 08-16-10 at 11:49 AMOn my way out from the gym, I climbed unto their digital weight balance and there it was from the tiny little glass window 166 lbs. I have amassed 10 lbs of muscle weigh in 3 weeks. I'm so proud of myself!
