Dark/black hardwood floors can be the most amazing and sought after things that will easily gel with any home or office décor. One significant thing to take note of out here is that when you go for hardwood dark/black floors you should buy light colored furniture. The combination of dark/black floors will blend with light color furniture and increase its effect.
Turn on any home-design TV show and you’ll repeatedly hear the words “open concept.” Tearing down walls to create open floor plans for the living, dining and kitchen area is what open-concept design is all about.
This is minimalism at its best. What you see here is a portion of a house located in Burgos, Spain. It was a project by Pereda Perez Arquitectos and this living room is actually a very good representation of the entire building. Wood and concrete define the whole house, being used extensively and looking very pure and natural. The spaces are bright and fresh without looking or feeling monotonous.
Even your contemporary, retro-inspired kitchen could use some sheen and shined laminate flooring to top off the look. And the lighter choice here keeps the room more open in feel. If you have more of a funky, eclectic taste in home decor, then this space may give you some beautiful inspiration. Laminate floors can resemble real hardwood quite well!
