This is a lovely living room with an overall very light and bright interior. The black and white cowhide rug placed underneath the coffee table is the only piece that creates such a strong contrast of colors. Its texture also contrasts with the wooden floor and furniture but it integrates beautifully into the whole décor.
The nursery would also be a great place for a cowhide or sheepskin rug. They are soft and friendly to your baby’s skin once he/starts crawling. If you want to maintain a serene and calm atmosphere and a simple décor, maybe you can find an all-white rug and a matching pouf or one to throw on the chair.
There’s just something about a geometric pattern that is so mid century modern and friendly. This one especially will look awesome against your wood floors. Where there are flowers, there is happiness. And isn’t that sleepy fox adorable? So how can you resist putting this rug on your dark hard wood floor
Bold patterns with neutral color: When most of think of bold we think bright colors, bold patterns, and over the top graphics. Bold can actually use neutral colors, but have very large and powerful images to make it become the focal point of the room. Rooms that already have bold wall or furniture colors such as red, burgundy, or even turquoise or royal blue tend to have heavy saturation in them. The way to unite the floor with the bold walls is by using bold patterned neutral area rugs.
